I set the same new ID and pass as before, then qBit seemed to stop responding and the web UI reported that the server was unreachable. This failed but the default admin ID worked: my settings seemed to have been wiped and none of the test torrents were visible. I refreshed the page and was prompted to log in again, which I tried using the credentials I'd stored earlier. However, every single one of them, whether or not it initially showed any peers and whether or not it started to download any data, quickly changed to "stalled" status.Īt this point the program or the web UI seemed to bug out. torrents were spotted and started as expected. I then set up a watch folder and default download directory in one of my preexisting shares. I changed these, storing the new details in KeePass. I first logged in with the default ID and pass (admin, adminadmin). Problem 4: I'm IP locked for failed login attempts, despite definitely using the correct credentials Problem 3: web UI sometimes won't load when I try to access it using its IP address - message "refused to connect" in the browser Problem 2: qBittorrent seems to have lost and then found its settings, alternately showing my settings/user ID changes and then reverting to defaults/clean settings Problem 1: downloads show peers but stall out almost immediately It seems to have worked, but I'm having problems with logins and settings. I’m just sick of encountering this issue.I've just installed qBittorrent following the instructions here, including the autostart script. If there are no solutions, then at least I can bring awareness to this problem. I’m just looking for solutions once and for all, common answers to this question don’t work. □ I guess I’m the bad guy for actually doing the research and attempting to not waste anyone’s time with answers that have already been tested? I could have come in here and asked the same thing that’s been asked over and over and wasted everyone’s time asking the same question that always gets asked, and some of y’all would prefer that? So what actually is this issue and why has it been going on specifically with qBittorrent for literally years without being fixed?Įdit: I took time to do my own research and preemptively respond to common answers that have historically not worked to solve this issue, and yet somehow I’m the bad guy for doing exactly what I said I would to anyone who ignored it, which is just copy/pasting the same answer I already wrote. It has been extremely frustrating to see so many answers that explain how the stalled message SHOULD ideally work, but disregarding that it's not working as designed for almost every single person asking this question. So it's none of the above, it is most definitely qBittorrent itself since it worked yesterday and doesn't work today, so please for the love of god what the hell is the issue with qBittorrent and how the hell do we solve it once and for all? Other torrent clients download it fine, but my qBittorrent is set up to work with Radarr and Sonarr and my VPN so I'd prefer not to change. I use a VPN, however nothing changes when I turn it on/off, change locations, etc still randomly stalled. Yes, I've checked my download speeds, 200mbps down consistently. I've restarted my computer, and restarted my router. Yes, I have closed and reopened qBittorrent. It was working yesterday, today they're stalled and no settings have changed. Yes, it has multiple available seeders who have it at 100%, double checked on other clients. I've even checked in a separate download client. I'll just copy/paste these to anyone who ignores it. Good lord, there are so many of these posts throughout the years, and not a single one of them that I could find has a valid solution or explanation, despite all having pretty much the same unuseful answers posted in the comments.īut pre-emptively here are my responses to those answers.
